I feel like it's time for a bit of a catch up! Today I'm catching up with emails, cleaning the studio and enjoying this warmer weather. These jeans were of course ripped when I bought them but the rip in the left knee has become one gaping hole after wearing them over and over again. I thought this grey vest was a bit too long so I twisted and knotted it up at one side and although I'm spending most of today indoors I wore my leopard print skate shoes with this outfit.
When you're not in structured employment it's very difficult to sense what day of the week it is. The past couple of weeks have been like this - it's not that I'm disorganised, I know exactly what I'm doing and what's happening in my own life but you very quickly forget that most people have to go to work on a Monday morning and can't come out to play. So although I've lost touch with reality a bit recently this is a much more enjoyable way to live for me. I tend to work at the studio on weekends and work on my blog during the week. I'll stay up until midnight working on blog stuff if I want to and I'm shooting both Saturday and Sunday this week but I don't mind, it hardly feels like work when I enjoy what I do. I've got some blog posts coming up on how to organise your blogging and this has helped me mark out my days and fill up 'free space' with work leaving other days totally free for holidays or breaks.
I've got some exciting plans coming up including an overnighter at the seaside next weekend! I'm crossing my fingers for great weather so I can get lots of pictures. It's also my final grad show exhibition next Thursday. I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone on my course has been working on and the other Art and Design courses will be exhibiting too. If you're in the Manchester area, you can head down to Media City, Salford Quays between 12th-14th June and check out the Salford Art&Design Grad Shows which are open to the public and could be useful if you're considering an art degree.
