Happy Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of my followers!
There may only be a select few of you but I appreciate each one. I hope your Christmas Day is everything you hoped for. For me Christmas is going to be a quiet one this year with just the five of us sitting down to our Christmas meal but hopefully it will be just as lovely.
Each year I get older and Christmas seems less exciting, for me its more about everyone just having a relaxing enjoyable time and not stressing over everything being 'perfect' or 'as Christmas should be'.
So enjoy the festive holiday, drink plenty and eat plenty! And be thankful for everything you have...

Unique and Unusual Jewellery

This jewellery website has been blogged about by many different bloggers on many an occasion but I just needed to throw my two cents in!
Fashionology.nl is based in The Netherlands and they sell unique, high fashion, interesting and unusual jewellery. They ship worldwide and accept credit cards and PayPal (which is great for me, PayPal is so much easier) and I do not have a bad word to say about their products....yet!
Because its that time of year where money is a little sparse, I've decided I will place an order at Fashiononlogy in the New Year, which also gives me something to look forward too! So although I cant give them a sparkling review just yet (we'll see what their shipping is like) here are my favourite pieces and items I will be 'adding to cart'

As you can see the jewellery is of a specific style and not everyone will be as excited by it as I am. I love love love the pinkie rings and rings to wear higher up on your finger. If you follow my blog you know I am a big fan of ear cuffs and oversized crosses are a fave too.
Prices are a real mixed bag, ranging from just 10 Euro to 85 Euro.
Similar websites catering similar jewellery include

Galibardy.co.uk

This company is based in the UK, although they do ship worldwide. The price ranges are fairly low, between £10 and £30. The boutique section of the website is slightly pricier, but made with more expensive materials (solid silver, gold, etc).
I love their cute and bizarre necklaces like the tooth one above and the rock, paper, scissors chain!
I'm much more into silver jewellery than gold but even I can't resist those little boxing gloves!
What do you think guys? I realise this stuff isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like my jewellery to be interesting and stand out. I like people to ask me, "Where did you get that?!" because they've never seen one like it before! Right now, this style is also very fashionable and is a great way to add something to a simple outfit.
I will let you all know when I my order arrives and take lots of photos!

Does anyone else know of a website that sells similar products?

Yankee Candles - Christmas Scents

My order arrived this morning in this cute little brown box so I thought Id do a mini review or my 'first thoughts' on Yankee Candles.

I decided some Christmas-sy scents were exactly what I needed to get me into the festive spirit and after seeing the millions of positive reviews on YouTube I thought I would give Yankee Candles a try. Following Fleur De Forces advise I used YankeeDirect.com to place my order as they have loads of special offers and discounts available.

I only purchased one small 'housewarmer' jar in the scent Happy Christmas and then 3 sample sizes. This was my first order with Yankee Candles and I prefer to start with a smaller but more varied selection so I can see which scents I would like to buy full size versions of. Plus the sample sizes are only £1.60 and have a burning time of 15 hours!!
The samples I chose are, Evening Air, Lavender and Ylang Ylang and Mulled Wine.

I havn't yet lit any of my samples but just from smelling the wax I am already in love with Evening Air! Its very fresh and sweet, perfume like but not overpowering.
I bought Lavender and Ylang Ylang with the hope it would smell just like Tesco's Lavender and Ylang Ylang Bubble Bath which strangely is an all time favourite smell of mine.
And of course, Mulled Wine to be lit on those Christmas Nights in.
I have however tested my Happy Christmas housewarmer jar and its lovely. A rich berry scent which although does not really remind me of Christmas, is still perfect for this time of year.

Has anyone tried Yankee Candles before? They have so many scents available it was so hard to choose! Which are your favourites? I can see myself definitely buying more once I find my favourite.

TOPSHOP's Little Black Delights...

It's that time of year....party season! And what is more classic and chic than a Little Black Dress? Well here's how to mix it up a bit this Christmas and New Year.
Topshop have a mountain of delicious goodies at the moment and although their prices seem to be ever growing, we all deserve a little treat on occasion!
These items can all work as separate pieces, meaning you can pair a very expensive black silk dress (£95.00) with cheaper alternatives, just a pair of black tights and simple platforms - all the attention will be on the dress anyway!
These fabrics demand attention so if you want to try something different this year but still be safe in the knowledge that EVERYONE looks good in black then why not pick leather look leggings, to be worn with an oversized blouse? Or a sheer silk shirt with skinny jeans and heels for a more relaxed look?
I have already found my New Years Eve dress, (unfortunately I couldn't find an image online) its a faux leather and mesh mini from H&M that is made with the most beautiful fabric, so it feels comfortable and soft. The leather is also a lovely matte texture and very subtle so no creaking around in PVC all night! I'd really like these patent loafers from Topshop to wear along with it.
But my tip is, do not go all out with the leather trend. Choose one piece and have the rest of your outfit in a simpler fabric.
And silk blouses (whether real or not) are always pure luxury. I will be certainly building my collection of silk items - I am even awaiting two silk and jersey mix shirts from H&M as I type!
What will you guys be wearing this Christmas / New Years Eve?

December's Ice!

So after the snow of November, the temperature plummeted and everywhere and everything is now covered in ice!
I got outside with my camera, and some new exciting filters to try out (passed down from my Gran) ....and once again chased my cats around the garden...

I apologise for being such a bad blogger but I haven't really been up to much of interest recently. Just working and staying inside keeping warm! The parties and celebrations however, are fast approaching, so it is only a matter of time before I will have things to blog about. I'd rather write about interesting things than ramble about rubbish.
I'm awaiting some goodies in the post - some presents for others, and some things for me, so watch this space!
